What should you do in an emergency?
Dental emergencies usually occur as a result of a sudden impact, a fall or an accident. A problem can also occur on a heavily decayed tooth, which eventually fractures. Are you experiencing swelling, abnormal bleeding or intolerable pain? Follow these steps to relieve the pain and limit the damage, and make an emergency appointment with your dentist.
If you have swelling that makes it difficult to open your eye or if you are having trouble breathing because of a blocked airway, go directly to the hospital emergency room.
