Broken tooth: what to do

Our advice if you have a broken tooth

A tooth can break as a result of physical trauma, or when a cavity is left untreated and has destroyed a large part of the tooth structure. Chewing food that is too hard or grinding your teeth repeatedly can cause the tooth to break. Depending on the nature of the fracture, our dentists will recommend a filling or a crown.

• Gently clean your mouth after eating to prevent food from getting stuck.
• Take painkillers if necessary.
• Make an emergency dental appointment.
